The Proof is in the Numbers
In 2007, Ms. Cristina Rivera founded Safety Business after immigrating into the United States in order to pursue her Post Graduation in Accounting. Ms. Rivera decided to write down all of her ideas in a business plan and in that moment in time she started up an embryonary project which just a few short months later gave birth to the first accounting office which would be known to be Safety Tax. The office started out with no more than ten clients, but it was clear that it would become something special.
This Accounting office was indeed special, as it was the very first accounting office which was dedicated exclusively to foreign investors that came from Latin America, to Florida.
Three years later
Growing from her first office, a mere 300sq ft, Safety Tax moved into its first real space. With 1,200 sq ft and in less than eight months six new professionals joined the team! What had started out as a dream with just ten clients, had become a reality with slightly over 250 clients statewide!
Something Especially New
2012 could be considered one of the most important in the history of Safety Business’s history.
It was the first time that Ms. Rivera expanded her capital by joining forces with a local company “We Can Corporation,” by doing so the company expanded vastly into the Latino community and within this merge acquired the tax company LC Tax.
This more than tripled Safety Business’s client portfolio and it added on 3 more professionals to the company!

Within the time period of 2012 to 2014, Safety Business’s client portfolio grew exponentially. The company now held over two thousand clients. However, these were not the only changes happening within the company.
In 2014 the shares in Safety Business which were held by Ms. Rivera were acquired by Torima Inc. and the company became a Corporation.
Safety Business became SAFETY TAX
While adjusting the Corporate management of the company. Safety Business created its board of directors, a five year strategic plan in order to prepare the company to go nationwide.
Combining new corporate management with the adjustment in the company’s corporate image. The company’s new trademarked name “Safety Tax” started being promoted. The new Safety Tax Licensee project also began being promoted.
The Dream Becomes a Reality
After a 16 month planning and analysing period for the licensee project, Safety Tax signs its first contract in April of 2018. This contract was for a Licensee Office in Manhatten, New York!
Right after this contract was signed, 6 more came along in the state of Florida, and Safety Tax’s first international office was established in the city of Recife, Pernambuco in Brazil!
